A llora il re disse a Doeg: «Volgiti tu e colpisci i sacerdoti!». Così Doeg l'Idumeo si volse e colpì i sacerdoti, e uccise in quel giorno ottantacinque persone che portavano l'efod di lino.

Then the king said to Doeg, “You turn and kill the religious leaders.” And Doeg the Edomite turned and killed the religious leaders. That day he killed eighty-five men who wore the linen vest.
