A llora il re ordinò alle guardie che lo attorniavano: «Volgetevi e uccidete i sacerdoti dell'Eterno, perché sono anch'essi dalla parte di Davide e perché sapevano che egli era fuggito, ma non mi hanno avvertito». Ma i servi del re non vollero stendere le mani per colpire i sacerdoti dell'Eterno.

And the king saith to runners, those standing by him, `Turn round, and put to death the priests of Jehovah, because their hand also with David, and because they have known that he is fleeing, and have not uncovered mine ear;' and the servants of the king have not been willing to put forth their hand to come against the priests of Jehovah.
