A llora Jefte rispose agli anziani di Galaad: «Se mi riconducete da voi per combattere contro i figli di Ammon, e l'Eterno li dà in mio potere, io sarò vostro capo».

So Jephthah said to the elders of Gilead, “If you take me back to fight against the sons of Ammon and the Lord gives them up to me, will I become your head?”
