P er questo i figli d'Israele non possono tener fronte ai loro nemici, e hanno voltato le spalle davanti ai loro nemici, perché sono divenuti essi stessi maledetti. Io non sarò piú con voi, se non distruggete le cose votate allo sterminio di mezzo a voi.

Therefore the children of Israel can’t stand before their enemies. They turn their backs before their enemies, because they have become devoted for destruction. I will not be with you any more, unless you destroy the devoted things from among you.
