M a essi non scacciarono i Cananei che abitavano a Ghezer; così i Cananei hanno dimorato in mezio a Efraim fino al giorno d'oggi, ma sono stati soggetti a servitú.

And they drove not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell in the midst of Ephraim unto this day, and are become servants to do taskwork.
