S oltanto alla tribú di Levi, Mosè non aveva assegnato alcuna eredità; i sacrifici fatti col fuoco all'Eterno, il DIO d'Israele, sono la sua eredità, come egli aveva loro detto.

Moses did not give any land to the family of Levi. Gifts given on the altar to the Lord, the God of Israel, are their share, as He said to him.
