O ra prima di tutto, fratelli miei, non giurate né per il cielo né per la terra né fate alcun altro giuramento; ma sia il vostro «sí», «sí» e il «no», «no», per non cadere sotto il giudizio.

But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
