J air, figlio di Manasse, prese tutta la regione di Argob, fino ai confini dei Gheshuriti e dei Maakathiti; e chiamò con il suo nome le borgate di Bashan, che anche oggi si chiamano le città di Jair).

Jair son of Manasseh took all the region of Argob, that is, Bashan, as far as the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and called it after his own name, Havvoth-jair, so called to this day.
