M a Sihon, re di Heshbon, non ci volle lasciar passare nel suo territorio, perché l'Eterno, il tuo Dio, gli aveva indurito lo spirito e reso ostinato il cuore, per darlo nelle tue mani, come è appunto oggi.

But Sihon the king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him; for Jehovah thy God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obdurate, that he might give him into thy hand, as it is this day.
