Romani 13:4 ~ Romans 13:4

p erché il magistrato è ministro di Dio per te nel bene; ma se tu fai il male, temi, perché egli non porta la spada invano; poiché egli è ministro di Dio, un vendicatore con ira contro colui che fa il male.

For he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear and wear the sword for nothing. He is God’s servant to execute His wrath (punishment, vengeance) on the wrongdoer.
