Q uando gli abitanti del luogo videro la serpe che gli pendeva dalla mano, dissero l'un l'altro: «Quest'uomo è certamente un omicida perché, pur essendo scampato dal mare, la giustizia divina non gli permette di sopravvivere».

And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet vengeance does not suffer him to live.
