G esú comandava infatti allo spirito immondo di uscire da quell'uomo, perché molte volte se ne era impossessato e, benché fosse stato legato con catene e con ceppi e fosse sorvegliato, egli spezzava i legami ed era spinto dal demone nei deserti.

(For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him, and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters, and he broke the bands and was driven of the demon into the wilderness.)
