C osì l'ira dell'Eterno si accese contro Israele; ed egli li fece vagare nel deserto per quarant'anni, finchè tutta la generazione che aveva fatto il male gli occhi dell'Eterno fu distrutta.

Yahweh’s anger burned against Israel, and he made them wander back and forth in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, who had done evil in Yahweh’s sight, was consumed.
