N on avrò piú compassione degli abitanti del paese», dice l'Eterno, «anzi, farò cadere ognuno in potere del suo prossimo e in potere del suo re. Essi devasteranno il paese e non libererò alcuno dalle loro mani».

For I will no more pity or spare the inhabitants of the land, says the Lord; but behold, I will deliver every man into his neighbor’s hand and into the hand of his king. And shall lay waste the land, and I will not deliver out of the hand.
