A llora i prefetti e i satrapi cercarono di trovare un pretesto contro Daniele riguardo l'amministrazione del regno, ma non poterono trovare alcun pretesto o corruzione, perché egli era fedele e non si potè trovare in lui alcun errore o corruzione.

Then the presidents and the satraps sought to find a pretext against Daniel with respect to the kingdom; but they could not find any pretext or fault; inasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.
