S tranieri, i piú terribili fra le nazioni, l'hanno tagliato e l'hanno abbandonato; i suoi rami sono caduti sui monti e in tutte le valli e le sue fronde giacciono spezzate presso tutti i corsi d'acqua del paese; tutti i popoli della terra sono discesi allontanandosi dalla sua ombra e l'hanno abbandonato.

And strangers, the terrible of the nations, have cut him off and have left him; upon the mountains and in all the valleys his branches are fallen, and his boughs are broken in all the watercourses of the land; and all the peoples of the earth are gone down from his shadow, and have left him.
