O ra il loro aspetto è piú nero dell'oscurità; non si riconoscono piú nelle strade; la loro pelle aderisce alle loro ossa, si è seccata, è divenuta come un legno.

Their appearance is blacker than soot, They are not recognized in the streets; Their skin is shriveled on their bones, It is withered, it has become like wood.
