S ion tende le sue mani, ma non c'è alcuno che la consoli. Riguardo a Giacobbe, l'Eterno ha comandato che quelli attorno a lui divenissero suoi nemici. Gerusalemme è diventata in mezzo a loro come una cosa impura.

Zion streckt ihre Hände aus, und ist doch niemand, der sie tröste; denn der HERR hat rings um Jakob her seinen Feinden geboten, daß Jerusalem muß zwischen ihnen sein wie ein unrein Weib.
