A llora tutti gli uomini che sapevano che le loro mogli bruciavano incenso ad altri dèi e tutte le donne che erano presenti, una grande moltitudine, e tutto il popolo che dimorava nel paese d'Egitto in Pathros, risposero a Geremia, dicendo:
