V i scongiuro, o figlie di Gerusalemme, per le gazzelle e per le cerve dei campi, non destate e non svegliate l'amore mio finché cosí le piace.

I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.
