A llora Haman disse al re Assuero: «C'è un popolo disseminato e separato fra i popoli in tutte le province del tuo regno, le cui leggi sono diverse da quelle di ogni altro popolo e che non osserva le leggi del re, il re non ha perciò alcun vantaggio a lasciarli in vita.
