Neemia 1:3 ~ Nehemiah 1:3

E ssi mi dissero: «I superstiti che sono scampati dalla cattività sono laggiú nella provincia, in grande miseria e obbrobrio; inoltre le mura di Gerusalemme sono piene di brecce e le sue porte consumate dal fuoco».

And they said to me, The remnant there in the province who escaped exile are in great trouble and reproach; the wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates are destroyed by fire.
