N ell'arca non c'era nient'altro che le due tavole che Mosè vi aveva deposto al monte Horeb, quando l'Eterno fece un patto con i figli d'Israele, dopo che questi erano usciti dall'Egitto.

There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets which Moses put there at Horeb, where the Lord made a covenant with the sons of Israel, when they came out of Egypt. The Glory of God Fills the Temple
