D opo che Amatsiah si era allontanato dall'Eterno, fu ordita contro di lui una congiura a Gerusalemme; egli fuggì a Lakish, ma lo fecero inseguire fino a Lakish e là lo uccisero.

Now after Amaziah turned away from the Lord, they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem, and he fled to Lachish. But they sent to Lachish and slew him there.
