N el trentanovesimo anno del suo regno Asa si ammalò ai piedi, e la sua malattia era molto grave: nella sua infermità però egli non cercò l'Eterno, ma ricorse ai medici.

In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa was diseased in his feet; his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he didn’t seek Yahweh, but to the physicians.
