F ra i Gaditi alcuni uomini scelsero di unirsi a Davide nella fortezza del deserto; erano uomini forti e valorosi, addestrati alla guerra, abili nel maneggiare scudo e lancia; le loro facce erano come le facce dei leoni e sui monti erano veloci come gazzelle.

From the Gadites there came over to David in the stronghold in the wilderness, mighty men of valor, men trained for war, who could handle shield and spear, and whose faces were like the faces of lions, and they were as swift as the gazelles on the mountains.
