A llora prese il suo figlio primogenito, che avrebbe dovuto regnare al suo posto, e l'offerse in olocausto sopra le mura. Vi fu allora grande indignazione contro quei d'Israele, che si allontanarono da lui e ritornarono al loro paese.

Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land.
