R imosse gli alti luoghi, frantumò le colonne sacre, abbattè l'Ascerah e fece a pezzi il serpente di bronzo che Mosè aveva fatto, perché fino a quel tempo i figli d'Israele gli avevano offerto incenso e lo chiamò Nehushtan.

He removed the high places, broke the images, cut down the Asherim, and broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made, for until then the Israelites had burned incense to it; but he called it Nehushtan.
