J oas, re d'Israele, mandò a dire ad Amatsiah, re di Giuda: «La spina del Libano mandò a dire al cedro del Libano: "Da' tua figlia in moglie a mio figlio". Ma di lí passò una bestia selvaggia del Libano e calpestò la spina.

Jehoash king of Israel replied to Amaziah king of Judah, The thistle in Lebanon sent to the cedar in Lebanon, saying, Give your daughter to my son as wife. And a wild beast of Lebanon passed by and trampled the thistle.
