C osí l'Eterno farà ricadere sul suo capo il sangue che ha versato, quando colpí due uomini piú giusti e migliori di lui e li uccise con la spada, senza che mio padre Davide neppure lo sapesse: Abner, figlio di Ner, capitano dell'esercito d'Israele, e Amasa, figlio di Jether, capitano dell'esercito di Giuda.

And the LORD shall return his blood upon his own head, who fell upon two men more righteous and better than he and slew them with the sword without my father David knowing of it: Abner, the son of Ner, captain of the host of Israel, and Amasa, the son of Jether, captain of the host of Judah.
