p arlò invece al popolo secondo il consiglio dei giovani, dicendo: «Mio padre ha reso pesante il vostro giogo, ma io lo renderò piú pesante ancora; mio padre vi ha castigati con fruste, ma io vi castigherò con flagelli».

and he spoke to them according to the advice of the young men, saying, “ My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add to your yoke; my father disciplined you with whips, but I will discipline you with scorpions.”
