E d ecco, i servi di Davide e Joab tornavano da una razzia, portando con sé un grande bottino; ma Abner non era più con Davide in Hebron, perché questi lo aveva congedato ed egli se ne era andato in pace.

And, behold, the servants of David and Joab came from pursuing a troop, and brought in a great spoil with them: but Abner was not with David in Hebron; for he had sent him away, and he was gone in peace.
