T utti gli uomini di Giuda risposero agli uomini d'Israele: «Poiché il re è nostro parente stretto. Perché vi adirate per questo? Abbiamo forse mangiato a spese del re, o ci ha mai dato alcun regalo?».

All the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, “Because the king is a close brother to us. Why are you angry about this? Has the king paid for our food? Has he given us any gift?”
