O r Absalom aveva dato quest'ordine ai suoi servi, dicendo: «Fate attenzione, quando Amnon sarà brillo per il vino e io vi dirò: "Colpite Amnon!", voi uccidetelo e non abbiate paura. Non sono io che ve lo comando? Siate coraggiosi e mostratevi forti!».

And Absalom commandeth his young men, saying, `See, I pray thee, when the heart of Amnon glad with wine, and I have said unto you, Smite Amnon, that ye have put him to death; fear not; is it not because I have commanded you? be strong, yea, become sons of valour.'
