O r avveniva che tutte le volte che gli animali vigorosi del gregge entravano in calore, Giacobbe metteva le verghe nei trogoli in vista delle pecore, perché le pecore entrassero in calore vicino alle verghe;

And it came to pass, whenever the stronger livestock conceived, that Jacob placed the rods before the eyes of the livestock in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.
