A llora Abimelek chiamò Isacco e gli disse: «Certamente costei è tua moglie; come mai hai tu detto: «E' mia sorella"?». Isacco rispose: «Perché dicevo: "Non vorrei morire a motivo di lei"».

Abimelech called Isaac, and said, “Behold, surely she is your wife. Why did you say, ‘She is my sister?’” Isaac said to him, “Because I said, ‘Lest I die because of her.’”
