Q uando la gente del luogo gli faceva domande intorno a sua moglie, egli rispondeva: «E' mia sorella», perché aveva paura di dire: «E' mia moglie», poiché pensava: «Gli uomini del luogo potrebbero uccidermi a motivo di Rebecca, perché ella è di bell'aspetto».

And the men of the place asked about his wife. And he said, “She is my sister”; for he was afraid to say, “ She is my wife,” because he thought, “lest the men of the place kill me for Rebekah, because she is beautiful to behold.”
