C uando los hombres de Asdod vieron lo que les sucedía, dijeron: El arca del Dios de Israel no debe quedar con nosotros, pues su mano es dura sobre nosotros y sobre Dagón nuestro dios.

When the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, “The ark of the God of Israel shall not stay with us; for his hand is severe on us, and on Dagon our god.”
