P orque el deseo de la carne es contra el Espíritu, y el del Espíritu es contra la carne, pues éstos se oponen el uno al otro, de manera que no podéis hacer lo que deseáis.

For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the Spirit, and the Spirit are opposed to the flesh (godless human nature); for these are antagonistic to each other, so that you are not free but are prevented from doing what you desire to do.
