G ime, ciprés, porque ha caído el cedro, porque los árboles majestuosos han sido derribados; gemid, encinas de Basán, porque ha caído el bosque impenetrable.

Wail, O fir tree and cypress, for the cedar has fallen, because the glorious and lofty trees are laid waste! Wail, O you oaks of Bashan, for the thick and inaccessible forest has in flames been felled!
