M ientras saboreaba el vino, Belsasar ordenó traer los vasos de oro y plata que Nabucodonosor su padre había sacado del templo que estaba en Jerusalén, para que bebieran en ellos el rey y sus nobles, sus mujeres y sus concubinas.

Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein.
