E n el año duodécimo de nuestro destierro, a los cinco días del décimo mes, vino a mí un fugitivo de Jerusalén, diciendo: La ciudad ha sido tomada.

Now in the twelfth year of our exile, on the fifth of the tenth month, the refugees from Jerusalem came to me, saying, “ The city has been taken.”
