P ero a los hijos de los asesinos no les dio muerte, conforme a lo que está escrito en el libro de la ley de Moisés, tal como el Señor ordenó, diciendo: No se dará muerte a los padres por los hijos, ni se dará muerte a los hijos por los padres, sino que a cada uno se le dará muerte por su propio pecado.

But he did not kill the sons of the killers. Because it is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, as the Lord said, “The fathers must not be put to death for the sons. And the sons must not be put to death for the fathers. Each must be put to death for his own sin.”
