E ntonces Abner envió mensajeros a David de su parte, diciendo: ¿De quién es la tierra? Y que dijeran también: Haz tu pacto conmigo, y he aquí, mi mano será contigo para traer a ti a todo Israel.

Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, “Whose is the land?” and saying, “Make your alliance with me, and behold, my hand will be with you, to bring all Israel around to you.”
