E ntonces David habló al Señor, cuando vio al ángel que hería al pueblo, y dijo: He aquí, yo soy el que ha pecado, y yo soy el que ha hecho mal; pero estas ovejas, ¿qué han hecho ? Te ruego que tu mano caiga sobre mí y sobre la casa de mi padre.

When David saw the angel who was killing the people, he said to the Lord, “See, it is I who have sinned. It is I who have done wrong. But these sheep, what have they done? I beg You, let Your hand be against me and my father’s family.”
