A nd the men of David said unto him, Behold the day of which the Lord said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver thine enemy into thine hand, that thou mayest do to him as it shall seem good unto thee. Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul's robe privily.

Então os homens de Davi lhe disseram: Eis aqui o dia do qual o Senhor te disse: Eis que entrego o teu inimigo nas tuas mãos; far-lhe-ás como parecer bem aos teus olhos. Então Davi se levantou, e de mansinho cortou a orla do manto de Saul.
