A nd the Philistines gathered themselves together to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and people as the sand which is on the sea shore in multitude: and they came up, and pitched in Michmash, eastward from Bethaven.

Anche i Filistei si radunarono per combattere contro Israele, con trentamila carri, seimila cavalieri e gente numerosa come la sabbia che è sul lido del mare. Salirono dunque e si accamparono a Mikmash, a est di Beth-Aven.
