B ut his father and his mother knew not that it was of the Lord, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.

Mas seu pai e sua mãe não sabiam que isto vinha do Senhor, que buscava ocasião contra os filisteus; porquanto naquele tempo os filisteus dominavam sobre Israel.
