( For the Lord thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of the Lord thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of the earth.

(perché l'Eterno, il tuo DIO, che sta in mezzo a te, è un Dio geloso); altrimenti l'ira dell'Eterno, del tuo DIO, si accenderebbe contro di te e ti farebbe scomparire dalla faccia della terra.
