Deuteronomy 20:19 ~ 申 命 記 20:19

W hen thou shalt besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it, thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an axe against them: for thou mayest eat of them, and thou shalt not cut them down (for the tree of the field is man's life) to employ them in the siege:

你 若 許 久 圍 困 、 攻 打 所 要 取 的 一 座 城 ， 就 不 可 舉 斧 子 砍 壞 樹 木 ； 因 為 你 可 以 吃 那 樹 上 的 果 子 ， 不 可 砍 伐 。 田 間 的 樹 木 豈 是 人 ， 叫 你 蹧 蹋 麼 ？
